Dreamer, Co-Founder and CEO

Avishai is a dreamer - also known as a Visionary Expert.  Raised in Sydney, Australia, his visions have led him to pursue a diverse range of creative business endeavours.

He comes with over a decade of experience in building and marketing online companies.  He has also lent his entrepreneurial skills to consult other small and large companies.  At Computer Associates, a Fortune 500 Company, Avishai was instrumental in introducing their online products to the Australian market.  At PureProfile, an online start-up, he single-handed built their ‘research department’, earning the company revenues in excess of $500K per month in just over six months.

Avishai’s relentless need for challenges and seeing his visions come to life, are the basic ingredients that brought Picaholic together.  At Picaholic, he has particular responsibility for strategy, alliances and company growth.

When Avishai actually finds himself some spare time, you can usually find him drinking lattes’  at either Bondi Beach or at Larchmont when in LA.

Internet Diva & Fashion Junkie, Co-Founder and Marketing Director

A native Sydney-sider, was born with a creative streak.  Smart, techie and fabulous, Almira’s background in pr and marketing for the fashion and entertainment industry’s, has earned her the title of an “Internet diva”.

With a combined love for the creative world along with being Internet savvy, she co-found Picaholic.com, a web design service where creative’s establish a web presence on a subscription basis.  Her passion can be felt as Almira is often supporting client events from gallery openings to music gigs.

Almira is responsible for the successful marketing, promotions and PR efforts that have pushed Picaholic to become a leader in the web design industry.

Prior to co-founding Picaholic, Almira graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Master of Marketing.  She owned her own boutique PR agency that catered to some of the biggest names including DIESEL, FOX Studios and MARCS.

When she is not on the look out for fabulous marketing ideas and collaborations, Almira splits business between Sydney and LA, where she finds time to stop by her favourite Marc Jacobs store on Melrose Ave.

Adventure Seeker and Software Engineer

Brett has a ridiculous obsession with adventure – scuba diving, sky diving, camping, you name it. We just cant wait for the new underwater laptops with WiFi capabilities, so Brett can work wherever he is.

Brett originally joined Picaholic in 2006 as a project manager, but quickly assumed the position of Head Software Engineer. Brett brings to the table  over 10 years experience in complex web solutions for fortune 500 companies in Australia.   Oh yeah, Brett has another obsession – photography. Check out his work here.

Chilled Flash Guru

Wayne is one of our most chilled team member. We think it has to do with the fact that he is also a vegetarian.

He  brings over 8 years of Flash experience and  has worked on a multitude of award winning projects for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), the Australian National Museum, as well as an array of high-end fashion labels.

Wayne has developed the Flash component of Picaholic, making it a serial/queuing/priority loading system, with dynamic menus and paging engines as well as a library of reusable object oriented classes. Yeah it’s a mouthful – but true.

Believe it or not, Wayne also has a Degree in Electrical Engineering –  and used to be an IT- analyst programmer for financial institutions – errrrr. For Wayne, Flash action scripting is like having tea and scones (relaxing). His work in IT as an analyst programmer for financial institutions has given him a solid, technical foundation for the Internet/New-media industry.

Realist and IT Infrastructure

In case you didn’t realize – he is actually Avishai’s older brother. As the eldest brother in the family, Assi was always responsible for keeping Avishai in line and grounded. “Don’t do this, don’t do that”. This makes for a perfect fit for an online business such as Picaholic. Whilst Avishai has all these crazy ideas, Assi’s vast 15 years experience in IT, quickly injects reality together with a plan as to how things should be executed in an online environment.

Assi is responsible for our IT infrastructure and security (online that is) and has a degree in Computer Science.

The Roamer - Business Development Opportunities

Our tri-coastal ‘man on the run’.  You’ll find Martyn either in Sydney, LA or New York identifying business opportunities in key industries and developing supplementary services.

He is currently playing an integral role in the development of a subsidiary off-shoot business that will provide business and networking opportunities for Picaholic members.

His background in Science and Commerce has allowed Martyn to take a well-rounded analytical approach to the core business with attention to detail.

When not working on Picaholic, you’ll find Martyn either working on his screenplay or strutting his stuff alongside bikini models somewhere in the Bahamas.  Sometimes both.  Yes Marty… it’s a tough life…
